We conduct waterbird monitoring along the coastal areas of Bangladesh every year in January.

– 2015 to 2016: We discovered the site in 2015 by using species distribution model, conducted rigorous surveys in collaboration with the forest department.
– 2017: Published the paper in Bird Conservation International.
– 2018: Endorsed by Bangladesh Forest Department and designated as a Flyway Network Site.

To protect the last riverine habitats (including grasslands) in Bangladesh, in 2014 we propose two sanctuaries along Padma and Jamuna rivers, comprising 2,522 and 7,082 ha.
