About the initiative
SCOPE leads several citizen science initiatives in Bangladesh. We have come a long way since then, supported by new technologies such as digital photography and mobile apps – especially eBird! We now have over 500 citizen scientists submitting checklists from across the country, not only in winter but throughout the entire year.

Birds Bangladesh – a facebook group with 180k members was created in 2007 and managed by SCOPE Foundation’s founders and supporters.
eBird
eBird is among the world’s largest biodiversity-related science projects and SCOPE founders play active role in maintaining (as reviewer) and popularising this global tool.
