SCOPE leads several citizen science initiatives in Bangladesh. We have come a long way since then, supported by new technologies such as digital photography and mobile apps – especially eBird! We now have over 500 citizen scientists submitting checklists from across the country, not only in winter but throughout the entire year.

eBird is among the world’s largest biodiversity-related science projects and SCOPE founders play active role in maintaining (as reviewer) and popularising this global tool.
Majority of the GBIF’s (the Global Biodiversity Information Facility) data from Bangladesh are essentially eBirdoccurrences
