In this era of global biodiversity loss and our collective failure to ensure conservation of the natural world. Conservation initiatives in privately owned land are helping to mitigate global biodiversity crisis in many countries. For example, Costa Rica alone has 213 private protected areas covering 82,045 ha, which is more than 1.6% of the country.

Natural habitats in Bangladesh are degrading, even the areas that are protected. Hence, such private protected area initiative may offer a way forward for positive conservation outcomes in Bangladesh.
